The reports from a programme of work by Scotland's Future Forum and the Goodison Group in Scotland were launched at a gathering in the Scottish Parliament on 4th February.   The programme had involved a series of seminars, roundtable discussions and workshops with a wide range of stakeholder groups across all stages of education, business, the voluntary sector and young people to provide an evidence base.  PASCAL had participated in a workshop bringing together international perspectives as part of this process. 

PASCAL's on-line networks continue to grow.  In the last week PASCAL passed a couple of milestones - there are now over 500 Twitter followers worldwide ( http://twitter.com/obspascal )and over 100 people and organisations have 'liked' the PASCAL Facebook page  (http://facebook.com/Pascalobservatory ) . 

PASCAL is anxious to ensure that it is addressing those topics within its remit which are of most relevance and priority to regional stakeholders.  By way of an experiment, there is now a PASCAL poll seeking views on the most pressing social policy problems faced by regions in 2012.  The poll question can be found at www.twtpoll.com/fou3ak.  Please vote.  The poll is open for the next 7 days.  

Paper.li, one of the leading companies producing on-line newspapers, has featured PASCAL's social media practice in the latest blog on their website.  Whilst many of the papers they produce are for individuals or for businesses, they were interested in PASCAL's use of the papers as an international organisation.

Third Sector Internships Scotland is celebrating its first anniversary, and reports a successful first year of making connections between university students with fresh ideas and third sector organisations looking to develop new projects.  

The programme is an innovative partnership between Scottish Universities and the third sector.  TSIS is a four-year programme developed by Queen Margaret University, The Open University in Scotland and the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations, and is funded by the Scottish Funding Council.
