Conference Program Now Available Online!
Placemaking Week is one month away, and PPS has released the full conference program! Click here to see our exciting roster of speakers and sessions.

This groundbreaking event will take place October 10-14 in Amsterdam, a creative city that is also a model of the promise of placemaking

As we continue to prepare for the conference—along with co-organizers STIPO, The City at Eye Level, Placemaking Plus and Pakhuis de Zwijger—we urge you to check out our ongoing Speaker Spotlight blog series, which will give you a an inside look of what's in store for October!
We are also thrilled to announce this year's keynote speaker, Ben Hamiltion-Baillie. A leading international placemaker, urban designer, and traffic engineer, Hamilton-Baillie has played a huge role in popularizing Hans Monderman’s concept of "shared space," both through his research on Monderman's efforts to simplify and humanize over-engineered streets in the Netherlands, as well as through his own work.

Whether it’s to expand your professional network and learn from like-minded placemaking advocates and practitioners, or to tour some of the unique placemaking projects going on in and around Amsterdam (and even other Dutch cities!), there are so many reasons you should join us at Placemaking Week.

But no need to take our word for it! Here's what some other conference registrants have to say about why they'll be joining us and what they're expecting to take away from Placemaking Week 2017:
