PASCAL People and Governance

    Governance and Leadership

      PASCAL operates at present from 3 university-based centres under Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) exchanged between the host universities). It is guided by a Board chaired by Josef Konvitz, formerly of the OECD.The Board is accountable to the universities which are parties to the MOU.

        PASCAL Associates

          PASCAL’s key resource is its unique international network of dedicated Associates, each with practical skills and expertise related to our guiding themes.  Our network connects practitioners, researchers, and policy makers.  Our boundary spanning connections help generate new knowledge, new practice, and new policy initiatives.

          Associates are appointed by the Board in recognition of experience and contributions made on behalf of the public sector, international organizations or higher education.  In particular, Associates:

          Associates fulfill a variety of functions.

          • In research they may participate in PASCAL initiated projects and involve PASCAL (and its associates) as participants in their own research projects.
          • They may provide consultancy services as requested on behalf of PASCAL, and seek PASCAL endorsement and assistance for their own consulting activities.
          • They may contribute papers for publication on the PASCAL website and to discussion fora on the website.
          • They may submit news/conference notices/information for inclusion on the PASCAL website and in turn receive up-to-date news and information on conferences, research and policy initiatives from PASCAL;
          • They present PASCAL in appropriate fora and seek opportunities to influence and participate in local and international policy processes;
          • They are members of PASCAL.

          An Associate shall be appointed for a renewable 3 year period. PASCAL welcomes nominations of new Associates, which may be made to PASCAL Vice-chair, Chris Shepherd.
