Recognitions, positions, memberships:
Ivan Grdesic is Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the United Kingdome and a professor at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Political Science. He served as Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the United States from 2000 until 2004. Prior to assuming his ambassadorial duties in the US, Ambassador Grdesic was associate professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Zagreb, where he graduated and obtained his Ph.D. in political science. From 1996 to 1999 he was vice-dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences and president of the Croatian Political Science Association. Professor Grdesic was a Fulbright visiting professor at Virginia Tech University during the 1999 to 2000 academic year, and at Indiana University, Bloomington, from 1992 to 1993. He is president of the Croatian Fulbright Alumni Association.
