A new blog post by Joy Hyvarinen (FIELD Executive Director) considers climate change and the new sustainable development goals [2]. It suggests that thinking about the climate treaty’s goal to slow climate change to a level that is not dangerous could help to design the new goals. It argues that poor and vulnerable countries and communities need a second line of defence against climate change and suggests that the new goals should be rooted in the Millennium Declaration.
