Placemaking and the Evolution of Innovation Districts | Placemaking Monthly

A new report by the Global Institute on Innovation Districts [2] estimates that since the year 2000, over 100 innovation districts have sprung up across the world, and perhaps more than any previous research on the subject, this new report recognizes the important role that placemaking must play in this increasingly popular economic development strategy [4]. However, it also contains some insights that may challenge placemakers to evolve themselves.
