One of the recent seminars of the Jean Monnet Network [1], ‘The EU’s Role in the Implementation of the SDGs in Asia Pacific’, was delivered by Dr Lavinia Hirsu [2], SUEUAA [3] co-I, on the topic of Gender Equality. The related Policy Brief produced by Lavinia, and two colleagues who were also part of our GCRF [4] project SUEUAA, Lamiah Hashemi, University of Kurdistan [5] and Zenaida Quezada-Reyes, Philippines Normal University [6] is attached.
The University of Glasgow is a partner within this Jean Monnet network and is represented by Professors Michael Osborne [7], SUEUAA PI, and Michele Schweisfurth [8] from the School of Education [9]. This network co-ordinated at RMIT Melbourne [10] brings together researchers, policy think tanks and Non-Government Organisations who share a primary interest in enhancing the effective contribution of the EU to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Asia Pacific [11]. It is supported by the Erasmus+ [12] Programme of the European Union. Details of its work are found at this link [13].
