Background in philosophy.  Some of the spatial arrangements of university learning may be where my background would fit into things. In Egypt this is a big debate.

Interests/Expertise:

Palestine - Also I am broadly interested in North Africa and the Middle East.  Lifelong Learning is not exactly new in this region and university involvement in the regions of these areas is perhaps far more of tradition than it is in Europe.  I am very interested in discussion so that I get a feel for how MENA fits into the PURE map.

Recent research/consultancy:

Involved in a TEMPUS bid for Lifelong Learning in Palestine.

Recognitions, positions, memberships:

I am a member of different philosophy of education organizations and work closely with all the Palestinian university organizations.  More recently I have a lot of contact with AUC in Cairo.
