Innovation is core to the role of the public sector. A greater focus on front-line innovation will be the driving force behind the next big wave of reform. It will be the driver of improvements in the health system, schools, and the other activities of governments. It will see literally thousands of ideas for change in our activities raised, discussed, debated, trialled and measured. Most of these ideas will fall by the wayside, discarded ::##OPENDOUBLE##::__ but many will produce more efficient and effective public services.
