Building Trust in Partnerships between Community Organisation and Government (October 2004)
Partnerships between government organizations and non-government providers depend on the ability of the parties to develop relationships based on trust and mutual commitment. But there are inherent features of government organizations which tend to make it difficult for their staff to build and maintain inter-organizational trust. This paper explores the nature of inter-organisational trust, elaborates the obstacles to its development suggests some possible ways of handling them. by John Alford
