A renewed interest in the community role of the VET sector has also led to a growing interest in strategies for building social capital in communities, and the contribution that the VET sector can make to this objective. This interest led the National Centre for Vocational Education Research to commission Peter Kearns to produce a discussion paper on the contribution of the VET sector to social capital in communities.
