The 3rd UNESCO World Higher Education Conference (WHEC2022) will take place from 18 to 20 May 2022 in Barcelona, Spain. This event has only been convened twice in Paris (1998 and 2009), and in 2022, for the very first time, it will be celebrated in the city of Barcelona, GUNi's headquarters. The WHEC2022 is organised by UNESCO in partnership with GUNi/ACUP, with the support of the Government of Spain, the regional Government of Catalonia, the City Hall and the Regional Authority of Barcelona and with the technical support of the IESALC.
It will offer new knowledge, innovative ideas, creative alliances, and produce an enlarged coalition of the global higher education community in favour of 2030 Agenda for Development and beyond. We are very honoured to be UNESCO’s main partner in the organization and celebration of such an event. The Conference will be a unique opportunity for the higher education sector all over the world.
