Transposing Concepts - Lifelong Learning and the Learning Region
Professor Chris Duke’s paper sets out to do two things. Firstly, it uses two questions to take a somewhat provocative observation on East-West relations as manifested in the aspirations of the European Union (EU) apropos to Asia. Secondly, it reflects on the relationships of stakeholders within the education policy arena, where there is a clear policy commitment to not only lifelong learning but more specifically to the concept of learning regions.
