Summary: This is a project led by Darlene Clover of University of Victoria within which we are partners. The aim of this international development project is to create a strong collaborative base of researchers in Canada and Europe to explore these contemporary educational practices in museums, art galleries and libraries and their implications for building more inclusive, socially just and culturally enriched communities and societies. Collectively we will develop questions and research approaches to uncover evidence of best practices that can be widely disseminated to institutions and policy-makers. An initial meeting of the project was held in Glasgow at the Kelvingrove Museum in December 2009, involving collaborators from Canada, UK, Sweden and Malta.
