Danube University Krems (subtitled University of Continuing Education Krems; German: Donau-Universität Krems and Universität für Weiterbildung Krems, respectively) calls itself "the only state-funded university throughout Europe that has specialized in post-graduate academic studies". It is located in Krems an der Donau, Lower Austria.

Danube University Krems has specialized in postgraduate academic studies and offers exclusive courses in the fields of economics and business management, communications, IT and media, medicine, health and social services, law, administration and international affairs, education and cultural sciences as well as of building and ecology. Being a European model project, Danube University Krems combines high quality in education, research and consulting with excellent customer orientation and service. More than 5,000 students from 70 countries are enrolled in over 150 academic courses.

Danube University Krems was founded in 1994 and teaching started here in 1995 with three courses and 93 students. The university already is the largest provider of postgraduate continuing education in Austria and is now striving to become the leading competence center of academic continuing education in central Europe within the next few years.

Danube University Krems is located in the Wachau region along the Danube, which has been named a world cultural heritage site by the UNESCO.
