The University of Catania (Italian: Università degli Studi di Catania) is a university located in Catania, Italy, and founded in 1434. With a population of over 60,000 students, it is the main university in Sicily.

What does PASCAL do with the University of Catania?

PASCAL was a patron of the University of Catania's Second International Democracy in Europe conference on Lifelong Learning in Europe on 8 January 2008, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome. PASCAL chair, Professor Jarl Bengtsson, Co-director, Professor Mike Osborne, Associate Professor Norman Longworth and Board Member, Dttr. Ettore Ruggiero were all speakers at the event.

Dr Roberta Piazza of Educational Sciences at the University of Catania is an associate of PASCAL, has contributed to PASCAL publications and is a member of the Consultative Review Group for PASCAL's PURE project in the Region of Puglia.
