About the Outreach
In 2000, Leeds Metropolitan University launched the UK Centre for Events Management consolidating their position as the leading UK provider of events management education. The project aims to improved linkages between businesses, strengthen supply chains and support graduate-led new business start-up, raising the scope and quality of what the region’s event sector can offer. About Jackie Mulligan
Jackie Mulligan joined Leeds Metropolitan University at the end of 2005. She had previously worked as Festival Manager for the UK’s Millennium Commission and in communications, tourism, events, heritage, culture, business and emergency planning projects in the Caribbean. At Leeds Metropolitan University, Jackie heads the business development hub for the Events subject group. Whilst at Leeds Met she has presented and published papers and articles on events, event businesses, entrepreneurship and events as image making tools for destinations.
