Learning cities at the forefront of climate action - UNESCO Learning Cities webinar series

UNESCO learning cities, with their strong expertise in lifelong learning, are uniquely positioned to instil climate consciousness and equip local residents with the green skills essential for a sustainable society. Leading up to the sixth International Conference on Learning Cities (3 to 5 December 2024, Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) themed 'Learning cities at the forefront of climate action', the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC) will be hosting a webinar series focused on learning cities and the climate emergency.

Delegation from City of Helsinki hosted by City of Glasgow and University of Glasgow - 7/8 March 2024

Ilpo Laitinen, Administration Director at Helsinki City Construction Services, Stara, and a PASCAL Associate Director for Europe led a small delegation from Helsinki to Glasgow on 7/8 March 2021. Other members of Stara present were its head Timo Martiskainen, Director of Logistics, Sami Aherva, and HR manager, Tommi Majanen.

Faith and Spirituality-based Learning City Development - Briefing Paper 25

PASCAL EcCoWell Community Recovery Program - Final Report

In this posting, we report on the PASCAL EcCoWell Community Recovery Program, which was conducted from March to October 2020 with attached an extensive edited report from Peter Kearns and Denise-Reghenzani-Kearns. The programme was developed to test whether EcCoWell ideas on integration and partnership would have value in supporting community recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Five learning cities, two learning neighbourhoods, and two universities participated in the program. Short profiles of participants are given in Appendix 1.
