Delhi Government takes steps towards ensuring the workplace safety of informal sector women workers

Greetings from Martha Farrell Foundation! Our efforts towards prevention of sexual harassment in informal sector workplaces have been gathering momentum. Recently, on September 10, 2018, we successfully concluded our second in series of state level consultative workshops at India International Centre (IIC) in New Delhi.

Obituary to Glen Postle

Toowoomba in the Darling Downs region of southern Queensland, the Australian community education and lifelong learning movement, and the global adult education and lifelong learning community, have lost a great leader and quiet achiever with the death this month of Glen Postle.

Glen made a huge and lasting contribution to our understanding of people living together across social groups, roles and especially generations, within the academic and locality-based communities, and across disciplinary and managerial boundaries and levels. His communications are peppered with wisdom drawn from many eras and cultures; yet his work evolved, was tested and applied on the ground, in the community, through conversation and joint action.

Call for Papers and Proposals - UALL Conference 2019: Lifelong Learning and Innovation

The UALL Conference 2019, 10-12th April - will be held in Telford, the home of the Industrial Revolution and in keeping with this, the Conference will focus on these three themes:

Launch of the EU Centre’s Sustainable Development Goals Network

On the 23rd July, the EU Centre was delighted to host the launch of Jean Monnet Network on the EU’s Role in the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the Asia Pacific.

Jointly funded by a Jean Monnet Activities grant and RMIT University, the Network formalises the relationships amongst researchers, policy think tanks and Non-Government Organisations who share a primary interest in enhancing the effective contribution of the EU to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Asia Pacific.

Report on EcCoWell2 projects

Following a meeting during the recent 15th PASCAL Conference in Suwon, Denise has prepared a report on EcCoWell 2 projects. The EcCoWell 2 projects  were inaugurated in 2017 following a review of the EcCoWell experience for the PASCAL Board which added happiness and entrepreneurship to the objectives of EcCoWell.
