OECD has established a Centre for Well-being, Inclusion, Sustainability, and Equal Opportunity (WISE). The WISE objectives have much in common with the priorities of the recent report on the  EcCoWell  Community Recovery Program. The note below discusses these common objectives.

Latest news on European research in learning and work - December 2020

In this edition of the L&W Newsletter, you should note in particular the call for proposals to the following conferences: the ESREA online conference on 'An ecology of life and learning', the online conference on Crossing Boundaries in VET, the AVETRA online conference 'All eyes on VET', the VET conference NordYrk in Linköping, the conference of the Bulgarian Comparative Education Society in Sofia and the conference on Science and Technology Education in Porto (see Conferences), and the call for papers for special issues on: 'The role of education and training in labour market integration' [Education + Training] and 'Financial literacy in VET' [ERVET] (see Publications).  And not to overlook: the range of stimulating projects, books and articles on learning and work across Europe (see Projects and Publications)!  

Report on "Living with Water" Webinar,

Recently we joined a Zoom presentation from Rotterdam, in conjunction with the Singapore Centre for Liveable Cities.  The discussion examined the urban design solutions for working and living that enable engagement in public places as well as ensure good management of climate change challenges.

Report on the inaugural Global Learning Festival (GLF)

From 1-4 September 2020, the City of Melton and the City of Wyndham co-led the inaugural Global Learning Festival (GLF) with over 20 other partners including the PASCAL Observatory and the Australian Learning Communities Network (ALCN) who helped bring this event to life.
