ALLUME - A Lifelong Learning University Model for Europe
EUCEN is pleased to announce the dissemination event for the ALLUME project from 12-‐13 September 2011 in Barcelona (ES). During this event, we would like to invite you to join our discussion on the following questions:
- How can LLL become a reality in the European Higher Education Area?
- How can LLL-‐strategies be developed and implemented in higher education institutions (HEIs)?
- How can LLL be supported as a main concept in universities and how can supportive tools and implementation pathways look like?
With these key questions in mind, the ALLUME project developed a self-‐reflexive set of guidelines which intends to facilitate universities’ strategic development in the area of LLL. The idea of the dissemination event is to reflect upon these core questions and the resulting output so that the final product will be a tool assisting universities in developing comprehensive LLL-‐strategies and approaches adjusted to their specific needs and contexts.
The event follows the rationale of the initial questions by providing a series of interactive workshops on innovation in higher education in relation to the European Universities Charter on LLL. Furthermore, the guidelines of the ALLUME project will be presented and discussed in view of further amelioration and new valuable input on how to support universities in developing LLL-‐strategies.
We are looking forward for your participation in this discussion and evaluation of the key questions of ALLUME. For more information, please consult our website.
