We couldn't be more excited!

Interested in presenting in Chattanooga? The Call for Proposals for Placemaking Week is now open on our website until March 20th @ 5pm EDT. We want to hear from you, to understand how placemaking can help address local and global challenges. Find out more details below.

Chattanooga’s strong sense of community, deep history of placemaking, and intrepid focus on innovation, will set the scene for a week of conversations that promise to challenge, motivate, and inspire.

Working with our co-hosts The Enterprise Center, Project for Public Spaces will present an inspiring and engaging "conference without walls", full of hands-on sessions, off-site workshops, tours, and networking events, all designed to take full advantage of the many community-oriented organizations and spaces clustered in and around Chattanooga's innovation district.

Call for Proposals

Highlighting issues that are specific to the context of Chattanooga but broadly applicable to cities worldwide, we are accepting proposals for panels, workshops, short talks and activities, that address two major themes of this event:

  • Equity: How can placemaking holistically improve the quality of life in our communities and ensure that every citizen benefits?
  • Innovation: How can placemaking help accelerate economic development, incubate new products, services and ideas, and expand economic opportunity for all?

The call closes on March 20, 2019 @ 5pm EDT, so don't wait until it's too late. Click here for more details on the application, and get those proposals in soon!
