A toast to Europe! Brussels, borders and Brexit: multi-dimensional challenges for the European Union
To celebrate Europe Day 2016, Professor Paul Gough, Proc Vice Chancellor and Vice President, College of Design and Social Context, RMIT, and Associate Professor Bruno Mascitelli, President of CESAA, will offer a ‘toast to Europe (with European sparkling wine, of course) at 12 noon, precisely.
Following the toast, a panel of speakers will lead a conversation about current challenges facing the European Union.
Speakers
Professor Philomena Murray is Jean Monnet Chair ad personam at the University of Melbourne and a Research Director at the EU Centre on Shared Complex Challenges. She holds honorary positions at the College of Europe, Bruges; Trinity College Dublin and the UN University Centre for Comparative Regional Integration Studies.
Dr. Remy Davison is Jean Monnet Chair in Politics & Economics at Monash University and a Global Expert for the United Nations, New York.
Ms Antonia Mochan is an EU official currently living and working in Australia as a Communications Consultant. She joined the EU in 1995 and has worked in education and training, international development, foreign policy, communications (employment and then research) and was head of media and head of communication for the European Commission representation in the UK.
