EAN 26th Annual Conference: Save the Date!
We are happy to announce that the next EAN conference will take place at the University of Giessen, Germany | 20 - 22 September 2017.
University of Giessen and the EAN
Founded in 1607, Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) is a research university with a long-standing tradition which attracts more than 28,000 students. Its commitment to diversity and the development of international programmes makes it a perfect host for this year's EAN conference, which will look into current factors and dynamics that influence the social dimension of HE and the educational gap within the European Union.
Conference Theme
A detailed conference description is currently being built with the contribution of our European members and will be available shortly.

- Access to HE for refugees
- First-generation students
- Educational gap between Eastern and Western Europe
Conference Timeline
- Conference Registration: opens mid-March (through University of Edinburgh e-store)
- Call for Proposals: opens early April / Deadline: mid-May
- Confirmation of accepted proposals: mid-June
- Deadline for registration of presenters: within two weeks of notice of acceptance
