Research and Collaboration after the EU referendum

Following the EU referendum, statements have been released by Jo Johnson on higher education and research, the National Academies on research and innovation, and RCUK on international collaboration.

The Commons Science and Technology Committee also heard evidence on the implications and opportunities for science and research from leaving the EU. They are asking for written submissions by 22 August. Further articles on the impact of brexit on UK science can be found here.

Funding

The International Council for Science (ICSU) and partners will support 10 research projects to generate knowledge that will help develop new urban paradigms in Africa and make African cities more resilient, adaptable and healthier. Deadline for pre-proposal submission is 15 August 2016.

BBSRC and MRC have announced the launch of a £9M call for Networks in Vector Borne Disease (VBD) Research in September.

Register for the launch meeting by 19 August.
