NIDOS is seeking to recruit a Chief Executive to lead the organisation in its strategic development and ambitious programme of promoting effectiveness and facilitating members’ collective influence on policy agenda.

With more than one hundred member organisations working to tackle poverty and inequality around the world, NIDOS is the network that unites the international development sector in Scotland. Our network has a uniquely global reach, with members working in more than 140 countries with a wide range of specialisms.  We help members share their skills and learn from each others’ best practice to boost effectiveness across the sector.

The NIDOS Chief Executive is responsible for ensuring the development of NIDOS’s long-term direction and for the development of its role as an influential and effective organisation, as well as for the operational management of the organisation.

Full-time, based in Edinburgh

Principal Officer grade (SJC) point 35 (£30,039 starting point)

The post is funded to 31 March 2017 with the expectation that future funding will be secured.
