Giuseppe Pace

Since 1994 is researcher at the Italian National Research Council and since 2008 is visiting researcher at the AMRP, University of Ghent, working on the learning region approach for developing sustainability, on mobility and applications of renewable energy in the transports. He has taken part to the expert groups for the TEN-T Policy Review on “Intelligent transport systems and new technologies within the framework of the TEN-T” (2009-2010). He has worked at DG TREN (2003-2007), as responsible for the evaluation and monitoring of the TEN-T and of the questions of management of large infrastructure projects, coordinating the follow up of TEN-T funding of ITS projects.
Main fields of research are learning regions, systems of innovation, decision-making, regional and urban planning, and sustainable transportation.
