My research interests include examining the theory and practice of adult education, commuity engagement, organizational governance, partnerships, leadership, and team effectiveness. In 2009, I founded a new cross-department entity at UVIC titled Partnerships in Learning and Civic Engagement (PLACE). I am currently establishing an affinity group in Community Engagement with colleagues in the Canadian Society for Studies in Higher Education (CSSHE). I have presented my work at conferences in Canada, the United States, Great Britain, Europe and India.
