9th Pascal conference - 1-3 December 2010 in Gaborone - full details, abstracts and registration

With apologies for cross-posting.

Please find details of the 9th International Pascal Conference to be held at the University of Botswana in Gaborone from 1-3 December 2010 in collaboration with the University of Botswana and the Forum for the Advancement of Continuing Education in the UK.

The theme of the conference is Engaged Universities and Learning Cities/Regions

CONFERENCE THEMATIC AREAS

1. The Engaged University and Learning in an African Perspective
2. Lifelong Learning, Citizenship and Economic Empowerment
3. Lifelong Learning and Sustainable Environmental Engagement
4. Lifelong Learning and Culture

The keynote speakers include Professor Olusola Oyewole from the African Union Commission, Professor Catherine Odora Hoppers, Co-director of PASCAL, University of South Africa and Professor Hans Schuetze, University of British Columbia.

The deadline for abstracts is 15 SEPTEMBER 2010 and these should not exceed 500 words. Further details including a registration form can be found by emailing [email protected]

Submission of abstracts should be by email as a Microsoft Word attachment to [email protected]

A special session of the conference is being given over to the Pascal Universities Regional Engagement project, now working with 19 regions around the world, details of which can be found at the Pascal site under projects.
