Higher education and regional growth - new publication

A new book, 'Higher education and regional growth' may be of interest to PASCAL Subscribers given the work that PASCAL has undertaken in this field.
The rubric introducing the book in part reads:
Regions without a university can feel deprived of the, sometimes nebulous, benefits they provide. But what actually are those benefits?

That question is the focus of a new book, edited by Rick Wylie for Policy Network and supported by the Samuel Lindow Foundation and UCLan. Drawing on the experiences of practitioners and scholars, and insights from case studies of policy and institutional programmes, the contributions in this book explore the role of universities in a regional context, in particular their contribution to social and economic development.
