A Practical Guide to Community Organizing (cheap!)

This little guidebook will be an excellent read for you if you are interested in any of the following: community organizing, building a healthier sustainable human society, democratic social movements, popular education, and/or applying principles of social change theory. Think of this as a very practical "how-to" manual for a successful workshop model that is well-grounded in a philosophy of social change.

What others say on Amazon:

This is a real how to organize social capital handbook: with a beginning, middle and end. While there are some options on funding these types of activities, the inputs, outputs and outcomes are the same. This was the labor of real life projects.

This book is clear, readable and edifying. I noticed that issues that are often opaque are clarified using interdisciplinary knowledge to demystify the issues. Don't miss this one it is the joy of illuminating issues that need to be put in focus. This is a must read.
