The 12th PASCAL International Observatory conference will  be hosted at the University of South Africa from the 28th to the 30th of September 2015 with the theme Community Engagement in the 21st Century.

The conference theme will cover the following 5 focus areas:

• Focus Area 1: The Growing Role of Universities in Sustainable Development;
• Focus Area 2: From a Nice to Have to the Pinnacle of Scholarship: Community Engagement’s Coming of Age;
• Focus Area 3: Community Engagement as Transformative Agent of the Academy:  Pedagogies of Engagement;
• Focus Area 4: Community Engagement in a Digital Era: Opportunities and Challenges for Community Engagement;
• Focus Area 5: The Century of The Young and Unemployed: Engaging the Youth in Socio-Economic transformation.
