GACER News 15
Friends,
Attached is the latest GACER News which highlight Jean-Marc Fontan’s newest work in creating a space for community-university-advocacy knowledge to work together in the context of social housing in Montreal.
Don’t forget last minute registration to CU Expo!
Istanbul April 28-30 – European Adult Education Network Conference on Local and Global Development – GACER to present there
Also a very interesting newish network/project called Building Global Democracy
Global Networking on the informal scale going on near Izmir, Turkey as Chris Duke (PASCAL fame) and Budd and their partners are visiting the ancient sites of Ephesus where the Greek philosopher Erasmus made his home (long before his name became so well known in Europe for academic exchanges).
In terms of modest progress, the joint PRIA-University of Victoria proposal to create a UNESCO Chair in CBR and Social Responsibility in Higher Education has now cleared both the Indian UNESCO Commission and the Canadian CCU. It will be submitted to UNESCO formally at the end of April. Hope it works:)
Warm best wishes
Budd
