“By 2025 Scotland will be regarded as a world-leading learning nation” An international perspective - 30 March 2012

On 19 March, Scotland's Futures Forum and the Goodison Group in Scotland organised on behalf of the Scottish Parliament an international workshop exploring the proposition that Scotland will be regarded as a world-leading learning nation by 2025. It included contributions from PASCAL associates Ilpo Laitinen and Anders Olsson by video-conference, as well as John Tibbitt and Mike Osborne at the host's venue, the Parliament building in Edinburgh. Other contributions were made by Mary Jean Gallagher Chief Student Achievement Officer of Ontario and Assistant Deputy Minister of Student Achievement in the province and Nancy Hoffman is a Vice President and Senior Advisor at Jobs for the Future in Boston.

This is going to be followed up by an event on 30 March, when the video of the workshop and further discussion with a large audience at the Parliament on 30 March 2012 from 10-1.
