PLLCA Newsletter - November 2017 edition

A delegation from the Interfaith Working Group of Toowoomba (Queensland, Australia) participated in the recent UNESCO International Peace Conference in Paris.  Among the many reflections seen in the Group's November Newsletter - featured below and attached - is the comment that there are common spaces in our uniqueness.

The Group is now preparing for the National Interfaith Conference 2017, 16-17 November - STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES THROUGH RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL EDUCATION, jointly organised with the Pure Land Learning College Association and supported by the Goodwill Committee of Toowoomba.

They keynote presentation will address "scripture as a source of development in a civil society" and other major themes are: "culturally diverse society with compromising one's faith", "universal principles and values", "creating safe places for meaningful conversation", "religion and spirituality in the 21st century", and "young people in the interfaith space".  Dialogue circles will feature with group facilitation.  The outcomes of this conference will be worth noting in how to live and learn in interfaith harmony.
