Cities Learning Together: Please Register
The Cities Learning Together conference is approaching rapidly. The European Union Centre at RMIT, PASCAL and the Hong Kong Institute of Education are very pleased to invite your participation. All the elements are now in place for an exciting and stimulating experience in Hong Kong in November.
A great deal of work has been done so far by many people and our conference partners: ASPBAE, ICAE , CITYNET, PRIA, EAFAE, APUCEN, and DVV (see details in attached booklet).
- the Conference PRECEDINGS has been finalised with more than 60 contributions. The Contents pages are provided in the attached booklet. The Precedings are a key part of conference preparation: we encourage all participants to read as much as they can, and certainly those sections relevant to their preferred theme (Economics; Green; Health ; or Social).
- the Conference PROGRAM is well advanced with an impressive range of speakers with current or past experience with the International Council of Adult Education, OECD, Eurocities, Greenpeace, the New Club of Paris, European and Asian city authorities, universities and NGOs. A major highlight will be the Field Investigations with local partners providing insights to emerging challenges and possibilities in Hong Kong (see outline also in the attached booklet).
In order to finalise the logistics for the conference, we now need all people planning to attend to finalise their Registration for the conference. Access to the full volume of Precedings will be provided in a mailout to all people who have registered, together with important logistical information, before Thursday 17 October 2013.
Online Registration, together with details on costs, can be found on the RMIT website. There is registration information also in the attached booklet.
Accommodation is still available at the Eaton hotel until 17 October 2013. After that date, we cannot guarantee that the conference rate will still be available.
PLEASE CIRCULATE THIS MESSAGE TO ALL POTENTIAL CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS. We still have places available; please encourage anybody whom you think might be interested to register.
Any queries can be submitted to Bruce Wilson, at [email protected].
Regards
Bruce
