Quantitative Methods for Social Sciences in the UK - Recruitment Advice sought

Dear Colleagues,

The Nuffield Foundation, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) have launched a major new £15.5 million programme designed to promote a step-change in quantitative methods training for social science undergraduates in the UK.

Here at the University of Glasgow we will be bidding and if successful will be seeking to recruit four excellent new quantitative research staff. Given the shortage of such potential recruits in the UK, we will be looking to all parts of the world and we would welcome you advice on strategies that we might use, and in particular would welcome advice from networks who could aid us in creating a supply of suitable candidates.

Please contact Professor Gwilym Pryce if you have any suggestions. [email protected]
