It has been hard to find joy in the heated rhetoric of recent weeks.  What does provide great comfort is the amazing number of inspiring gatherings and projects emerging in response to the unreasonable rants.  

Great Lakes Bioneers will host the first of its speaker series on resiliency, citizen science and environmental justice at McHenry County College on 7 February 2017 at 1900 at its Luecht Conference Center in Building B, Crystal Lake.  The first lecture will feature "Resiliency, Climate Change and Communities on the Edge," presented by Dale Sands. While few subscribers will be able to participate, please let me know what is going on in your community as we all continue to do Good Work in our "place”.
