To contain the continuous spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has seen, at the latest count, 188 countries taking the unprecedented action of closing their nation’s schools. Over 1.5 billion learners are affected. While the measure is necessary to stop the spread, it is already having a negative effect on education, wellbeing, and health.
