Seminar & Discussion Report: Changes and Challenges in the Power of Education – What Keeps You Awake At Night?
The imperative of ensuring education for all is an inspired and achievable goal at every level of society was the theme of "Changes and Challenges in the Power of Education: What keeps you awake at night?" at a recent seminar in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Main presenter was the former Deputy Director-General - UNESCO, Emeritus Professor Colin Power AM FACE. The interactive discussion was chaired by PASCAL Board member, Peter Kearns OAM FACE. Panellists represented state and private schools, parents associations and higher education. The key message was: "education empowers nations, individuals, learners, citizens, communities and humanity as a whole".
Gritty conversations reinforced what educators, students, parents, administrators and academics believe about the power of education and how learning and global citizenship need to a sustainable investment.
