A Showcase of Community Creativity - 8 March from 10.30am – 1.30pm, Advanced Research Centre, University of Glasgow
All are welcome for a fantastic celebration of how community groups are turning their creativity into actions for a more sustainable way of living.
The University of Glasgow in partnership with the Glasgow Centre for Population Health (GCPH) and the CIVIS European University Alliance’s Open Labs have been supporting 10 community-led sustainability projects over the past 9 months, each exploring an issue or need important to people and groups across Greater Glasgow and Clyde. You can read more about the organisations and their projects here.
The March showcase will feature presentations from each community project and a lively networking session to share learnings and ideas. We’re particularly pleased to be hosting this event on International Women’s Day 2023 as many of the projects were led by and for women in their local communities. We are also delighted to be joined by Rachel Sandison, the University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement) who will share her thoughts on the importance of the University’s civic role.
We hope through the event to build new connections and strengthen existing relationships between community organisations, the University and GCPH. There will be further opportunities to network over lunch so please do join us if would like to make connections with any of the groups or the team behind the fund scheme.
Places are free but must be booked in advance via Eventbrite.
