The Melton Lifelong Learning Festival is a three day celebration of all that is lifelong, life-deep and life-wide learning across the City of Melton. It will be an inclusive community event that provides opportunities for free activities and events that engage a diverse cohort of participants, across all age groups, abilities and interests.

Melton City Council is delighted to welcome you to the first Lifelong Learning Festival.

The Festival is running on Friday 5th October, Saturday 6th October and Sunday 7th October 2018

 

 

 

What is happening at the Festival?

The Melton Lifelong Learning Festival is a whole community event that provides opportunities for FREE learning activities across the City of Melton from 5-7 October 2018.

The Festival offers everyone in our community a chance to investigate new learning experiences, meet and connect with new people and discover new interests..

The exciting world of lifelong learning will be promoted at the Festival through a multitude of varied events including: performances, taster sessions, displays, lectures, try-it sessions, walks, demonstrations and workshops.

The festival program is packed with events that help make Melton not only a learning City, but an inclusive, learning community.

The festival is slated to become a key feature of Council’s annual learning calendar and a symbol of our collective support for lifelong, lifewide and lifedeep learning in the City of Melton.

What you need to know

The key things you need to know about the Festival are: 

  • All events are free
  • Events are listed in the printed program and online in date order
  • Many of the events have limited places and require bookings – please check each event for details
  • To book visit Melton Learning and click on the Festival page in the top menu
  • Events take place at many different venues across the municipality, both Council and private
  • Many of the events will offer follow up learning programs that may have an associated cost
  • All details are correct at the time of publication of this program, however some details may change.
  • To stay up to date and obtain the most current information please check the App or Melton Learning
  • Please share the Festival on all your social media and with friends and family
  • Melton City Council will be awarding some prizes for participation in the Festival (conditions apply)

Come along and join us for Melton's first ever Yoga Rave with a DJ. Learn yoga and meditation techniques all in a fun, vibrant and stimulating environment.
