Call for papers: Promoting conscious and active learning and aging: How to face current and future challenges?
The Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra is organizing the International Conference "Promoting conscious and active learning and aging: How to face current and future challenges?" that will take place on 20 and 21 October 2011 in Plo II of the University of Coimbra, Portugal.
It is an initiative under the European project PALADIN (Promoting Active Learning and Aging of Disadvantage Seniors), which involves academic institutions and many others operating in the field of community intervention, mentoring, municipalities and information and communication technologies. PALADIN project integrates a partnership of several countries including Portugal, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Bulgaria and Switzerland.
This Conference is addressed to professionals, researchers and students of Social Sciences and Humanities: Adult Education and Training, Psychology, Social work, Gerontology, Sociology, Medical Sciences, Nursing, Occupational therapy, Socio-Educational Animation, Municipalities authorities, professionals of Cultural and Recreational Associations and professionals of other fields interested in educational and ageing processes.
Abstract submissions up to 9 September 2011 to the following electronic mail: [email protected] The official Conference language is English and there will be simultaneous translation in the case of major conferences.
