As we celebrate 75 years of Fred Kent, Founder and President of Project for Public Spaces, we not only celebrate 50 years of big ideas that have helped overcome obstacles to better public spaces, but also the transformation of communities across the globe, and the broad-scale change in how people can participate in shaping places. “Everyone has the right to live in a great place. More importantly, everyone has the right to contribute to making the place where they already live great.” -Fred Kent kicking off the Placemaking Leadership Council in Detroit, 2013 Celebrate with us — Read more about Fred's career! |
