The Future of School - a DIF video talk
In collaboration with The Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Liza Ireland, PASCAL North America Associate Director, presents how we can redesign schools in the 21st Century using ecological principles of sustainable living systems in a DIF talk entitled The Future of School, featured below.
During the talk we look at all aspects of school from management, curriculum, teaching/learning so kids love learning and can develop in diverse, creative ways to engage effectively with the challenges of our interdependent world:
The Future of School
Our interconnected, dynamically changing world has shown we need to transition to a sustainable society with positive social, economic and socio-ecological relationships. How we educate is central to this transition. We need to transform education from an industrial model obsessed with output and yield that destroys the culture of learning, to an organic, natural process of learning, which creates the conditions where students can thrive.
