The Robert Owen Centre for Educational change would like to  invite you to a lunchtime  seminar (12.00- 1.15) on the  9th June.  Here Professor Geraint Johnes, Lancaster University, will deliver a talk: The incidence and returns to "Over-education" : PIACC Evidence on the G7.

G7 PIAAC data are used to evaluate the extent of over-education in G7 countries. Incidence of over-education is seen to vary systematically with a number of demographic characteristics. The impact of over-education on remuneration is then estimated using quantile regression. This impact is observed to be minor, suggesting that while some individuals have qualifications in excess of those required to undertake their job, their additional human capital is nonetheless rewarded. Care therefore needs to be taken in interpreting measures of over-education.

See the flier featured below and attached for more details.  The Event will take place in room 433a in St Andrew’s Building

All are welcome and I would be grateful if you would register your attendance to [email protected]

We look forward to seeing you there .
