Invitations to GNLC COVID-19 webinars: 22 April – Migrants and refugees, 23 April – Francophone cities’ response

The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) cordially invites you to the following webinars:

INVITATION: Wednesday 22 April 2020, 13:00–14:00 (CET) Webinar invitation: Measures developed by cities for migrants and refugees during COVID-19

The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) cordially invites you to a webinar on how cities that are hosting migrants and refugees have responded to the COVID-19 situation.

Many of the 173 UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC) members around the world are facing severe challenges due to the coronavirus.
One crucial part of the response to COVID-19 is to make sure that all members of society have the information and support they need to stay healthy and follow some preventive guidelines. Municipal authorities around the world, in collaboration with civil society organisations and other partners, are busy developing and implementing measures to support migrants during the pandemic.

In order to exchange solutions, discuss contingency plans and share effective measures, members of the UNESCO GNLC are convening a webinar organized by UIL on Wednesday 22 April 2020. Non-member cities are also invited to join the online events, share their experiences and learn from other cities.
