Commonwealth Foundation January 2019 Newsletter - Blue Economy and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

The first Commonwealth Foundation Newsletter for 2019 is out and focuses on their "Blue Economy and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" conference which was held in Nairobi.  Attending to the issue of sustainability is of grave concern in developing and developed nations.

What is also relevant is the interaction the Duke of Suffolk (Prince Harry) had this past week with Commonwealth Youth when sustainability for our futures was highlighted.

It is seen that this aspect of sea and skies (blue economy) concerning fisherfolk, farmers and islanders is greater than the green focus of sustainability to date, for many countries.  While consensus was difficult, there is a "Statement of Intent" available through the Newsletter links.

Also featured in this monthly publication is the value of storytelling encouraged through the Commonwealth Writers' program, voices on democracy coverage, to a learning exchange on health rights.
