Free Event: 30 Years of Erasmus with HE Sem Fabrizi & guests
In 2017 we are Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Erasmus Exchange Programme - a milestone for Europe!
30 Years of Erasmus
This event hosted at RMIT University will feature a celebration of the benefits of the Erasmus exchange programs for achieving the hopes and aspirations of Europe’s youth, bridging cultures and extending the hand of friendship even so far as to Australia. The celebrations also coincide with the 60th Anniversary of the Treaty of Rome which lead to the peace and prosperity of the continent.
HE Mr Sem Fabrizi Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the EU to Australia and New Zealand will headline a group of distinguished participants (tbc) who will share their Erasmus experiences and how these contributed to their professional lives.
Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme for 2014 to 2020 to support projects, partnerships, events and mobility in the areas of education, training youth and sport. It builds on long experience within Europe of academic and youth exchange programmes and university cooperation, and is celebrating 30 years since the first students moved between European universities.
This celebration will be in the Council Chamber, Level 2R, Building 1, RMIT City Campus, Melbourne.
Light refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits) will be provided.
