Inaugural awards for popular education

We are delighted to announce that PASCAL Associate, Professor Emerita Shirley Walters and Professor Astrid von Kotze, who are based in the Institute for Post-School Studies, Faculty of Education, University of the Western Cape, are the winners of the Best Humanities Project for Community Engagement for the Traditions of Popular Education Project (see www.populareducation.co.za and the linked Facebook page).

The research project ensures that findings are creatively shared with scholars, activists and educators in an on-going, participatory way to enhance possibilities for collective, co-production of knowledge. Congratulations!
